Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Zagora

• Early morning departure from Marrakech.

• Drive through the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass (2260m).

• Visit the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah (UNESCO World Heritage site).

• Continue to Ouarzazate, then through the Draa Valley with its palm groves and ksour.

• Arrival in Zagora, dinner and overnight in a riad or guesthouse.

Day 2: Zagora – Tamegroute – Mhamid – Chegaga Desert

• Breakfast and departure along the Draa Valley.

• Stop in Tamegroute (Koranic library, pottery workshops).

• Arrival in M’hamid El Ghizlane, the last oasis before the desert.

• Departure by 4x4 on a track (60 km) towards the great dunes of Chegaga.

• Camel ride to admire the sunset.

• Evening around the campfire with nomadic music.

• Dinner and overnight in a nomad tented camp.

Day 3: Chegaga – Lake Iriqui – Foum Zguid – Marrakech

• Early wake-up to watch the sunrise over the dunes.

• Breakfast at the camp.

• Cross the desert via the old Paris-Dakar track, passing by the dry Lake Iriqui and the village of Foum Zguid.

• Lunch on the way.

• Return to Marrakech via Taznakht (Berber carpet village).

• Arrival in Marrakech in the late afternoon.
